NEWS/ HAPPENINGS.

ENC PROGRAM EXPANDED TO TANAHUN.

ENC program has been expanded to Tanahun district. An orientation meeting was organized in PABSON meeting hall at the headquarters of Tanahun district on 21-22 June 08. The meeting was attended by local teachers, social workers and SSCT members. Executive Director of SSCT had facilitated the meeting. A 5-membered coordination committee has also been formed for effective implementation of ENC in Tanahun, which is led by Mr. Nandan Shrestha, principal of Vyas Vidhyapith.

UNDERSTANDING FOR PROVIDING EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

Kathmandu Metropolis and SSCT have agreed to work together for providing emergency medical services to street children, beggars, diseased and disables, who are found in the streets. A joint medical camp will be organized in near future to benefit around 200 people of such type.

SSCT CHAIRPERSON, MR. BAM DEV SIGDEL DEPARTS FOR USA.

Dr. Bama Dev Sigdel, the Chairperson of Shreesadhak Satyam Charity Trust (SSCT) has left for United States on 16 August 2008. Even though it is his personal visit for about 6 weeks, he is exploring civil society organizations in three US states, who can collaborate with SSCT in Nepal. Besides, the Nepali community living in those states will be informed on our ongoing and forthcoming programs.
